7/15/19 - English Class and Miracles

We went to ITU and finishes the trainings in the interior. The rest of the week we worked in our area and went on splits. 

Our miracle of the week is Italo. I love love love teaching Inglês. The mission office is in our area and there we have one of the biggest English classes in the mission 3xs a week. We found that the Elders in the office didn't like teaching so I was like, hold up, this is my area anyway, let me teach! I took control of the situation and we found Italo. He's been coming to English class for a long time. I honestly don't know why no one had tried to teach him before because he's so elect. He sings in an evangelical church but he said he always feels so much peace when he's at our classes. He showed up at our Festa Juninha last week, (that we couldn't go to since we were in the interior), and he invited himself to come to sacerment meeting! We gave him the first lesson this week and he loved it. He said for a while now he's been asking God if there's a purpose for him in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He told us about how he feels such a desire to serve a mission for our church, (he's 25), because we think of everyrhing, temporal, spiritual, etc. He accepted a baptismal date for this next Sunday. It's amazing when the Lord blesses us to find His elect. When they're ready they're ready and there's no sense in waiting longer. He took notes on the talks in sacerment meeting and all the members love him! English class brings miracles! Tucuruvi has baptized about 5 people in the last year because of it.

Anyway, that's about it. Thus next week we'll be "touring" the capital to give these trainings to the rest of the mission. It will be a challenge to finish teaching Italo since we'll be so far away for most of the time, but that's why the Lord has given us technology. We'll probably have a few lessons via video chat.

1) I got to go on splits with my old companion Sister Jales. I love her so much and it was so fun to reminice and work together again.

2 ) I love birds

3) I had to switch my life straw filter for the 2nd time. This is why we shouldn't drink tap water in Brazil. This other filter I used for 7 months.

4) Pday at a trampoline park in the mall by our house.
