4/8/19 - Conference and Good Vibes

Ok so my parasite is almost gone! Tudo bem! Guess who called me saying I passed this Sarna to them too? Bernadro. I gave 2 of my companions parasite.

Speaking of, guess who came to visit me in the casa de apoio? BERNARDO! All the sisters who are "dying", or going home stay for a few days in the support house while they go to the temple, have their interviews etc. Bernardo's companion was one of those sisters, so I got to see her! Ah I miss that girl. So yeah our house was full of 6 other sisters in addition to us 6 that live there. It was nuts. Lots of Trunkeza. Another plus with this, I got to see minha mãe! My trainer is going home and I'm so grateful I got to see her one more time before she leaves. 

So I thought I'd share a miracle of how we found one of our current investigators. A few weeks ago we pulled a few addresses to visit out of our area book. We found the street on our old fashioned paper map and when we got there the street didn't exist. 🤔 So we said a prayer and started to calp doors and as we were almost at the end of the street getting ready to go somewhere else Maria answered the door. We taught a quick restoration lesson and asked if we could mark a day to come back and explain more. She invited us to come in on the spot. We taught her and her family and she told us that same day she was praying really sincerly saying, "Father in Heaven, I'm tired of lies. I want to serve in the truth.".... then we clapped at her door. So we've been teaching her and she's amazing. We watched the Saturday night session of conference with her. As we were getting it set up on her phone I don't know what happened, but conference started and we got super excited. They sang the opening hymn, said the opening prayer, and then they announced that the prophet would speak. Matias and I got super excited. Then President Nelson starts talking about how it's time for a different home-centered church and I was like PARE AÌ! WE PUT ON THE OCTOBER 2018 CONFERENCE! AHH! That was embarassing. We got it to the real conference just in time to catch the opening hymn. Tudo bem. We watched the rest of conference at the chapel. I love conference. I specifically loved Quinten L. Cook and D. Todd Christofferson's talks. We can all focus more on using charity in missionary work. Something that I've learned is that if you don't love the people you're sharing the gospel with, it's almost impossible to teach with the spirit. So just love everyone and take every opportunity to share your testimony ok?

We got transfer calls today and I'll be sticking around in Santana to finish Sister Matias's training. Good thing too because there's so much to do here! :)
