6/25/18 - Emma Letter to Family

Mom, Sister A Ribeiro and I are getting along well. Its somtimes a little hard, but shes patient with me and we both love serving eachother. Im os sad to hear about Sister BAwden,. Thanks for all the updates from home! I appreciate it. I hear from friends every once in a while but its good its not more than that because I dont have time to respond!

Usually I do Jazzercise type thins for my workouts. we only have 30 minutes and not much space so that makes it kind of hard. Ster Riberio usually just streches.

Camp sounds like a balst! I told eve as ive reflected this week on expierences that have most streghthen my testimony, girls camps and youth conferences make up a goood part of the list. Sounds like you were a great DJ!

I HAVE FELT THAT LOVE FOR THE PEOPLE OF BRASIL AS I SERVE THEM TOO! Everyday I wake up excited to laugh at my Portuguese mistakes and meet more people to love.

im about to go buy a ukulele right after I email. i  think I have enough on my card, i havent boughten a whole lot. I NEED THE KOONS ADDRESS PLEASE! I want to send those girls a letter next week.

Sounds like the fishing trip was a blast! Im glad no one got hooked! I'm so excited for Incredibles 2 when i get back! I want that to be the first movie I watch when home.

General:

My comp and members make fun of me mor my good food noises. I didnt realize I made noises but when food is good I do a little mmmm grunt and happy dance. I taught the FEF concept to my comp to help us when shopping. In prtuguese its RED RApido, efficaz e divertido. T is pronounced like ch in portuguese.

Im finally coming to understand why my parents love the scriptures so much. I remeber when i was maris age I would think mom was crazy when shed read the scriptres for fun intead of a reall "fun book". I would wonder why we only had Ensings and Friends and didnt have cool magizienes like People and Time. I GET IT NOW! Everynight to wind down I read teh book of mormon because Its fun! The super heros there have stories I realte too! I GET IT! Thank you for you example of loving the scriptures.

Thank you also for making FHE a priority even when I complained. I realize the value it has. As I see the difference inteh families of teh memebrs we visit, those who have FHE and those who dont, theres a big difference intheir unity and the center focus of their home. Im glad I come from a home centered on Christ.
