8/20/18 - Sister Barlow the Wedding Painist?
This week was pretty stellar!
I got sick again but was asked to sing at the Multi-Zona so I did.
Sister Bodaine and I sang a duet and it was so fun! I've really missed
singing and harmonizing and all that jazz.
We recieved Karen this week. She was a refrence from another area
and God literally sent her to us! Such a blessing! I've found that when
things get tough here in the field it's usually because Father is
testing you to see if you can be trusted. He won't give special people
to slackers. :) All Karen's questions are exactly what our message
answers. Like my dad says, in situations like this I become the little
girl who loves her pet bunny SOOOO much that she pops its head off when
giving it a tight hug. I think I may have been a little too
enthusiastic with Karen but tudo bem.
Francisca and Fabio didn't get married this week. We're still
working on that. My title comes from an adventure we had in Èden. Sister
Jales had an old pesquisador who was getting married and baptized on
the same day so we went to support. At the wedding the Sisters in the
area were trying so hard to make it special, they asked me to draw this
banner thing and play piano. Banner? tudo bem. Piano for a wedding? Não
sei. But, in situations like this Barlows don't say no so I sat down at
that piano, said a little prayer and played well enough for what the
situation required. It was actually really fun.
ELDER BALLARD AND ELDER SOARES ARE COMING TO VISIT US THIS WEEK!
All the São Paulo missions will have the opportunity to hear them speak
on Friday. There is a lot of hype because for most of these missionaries
this is their first time seeing an Apostle of the Lord in real life. In
Utah we are so blessed. Don't forget that. Anyway, I'm pumped to hear
Elder Soares speak Portuguese and Elder Ballard is always awesome too.
What a blessing!
Anyway, thanks for all your prayers! Have the best week ever and
don't forget to say your prayers, read the scriptures, and take time to
notice the Lord's hand in your day to day.
Com amor,
Sister Barlow
