Sister Emma,
Today I fasted for you... for whatever you need.  We all pray for you constantly.  Ella Koon prayed for you again today in Primary.  I'm thinking praying for you is a regular thing in their family!  I'm so glad you are maintaining your positive attitude.  Positivity is a gift! So proud of you!  Speaking of Ella Koon, today in Dad's class, all the little girls were talking about "Incredibles 2"  It was obvious that Ella hadn't seen it yet, but was wanting to get in on the conversation.  Next thing we knew, Ella stood up on her chair and announced in Frozone's voice: "Honey, where's my super-suit?"  Dad almost fell out of his chair laughing!

We put another $300 in your account.  Yes!  We all would like Brazil Soccer Jerseys!  Even Grandma Charlene would like one.  She has been watching the World Cup and loving it! Sizes (or equivalent) Dad- XL, Mom, Hyrum- L, Eve, Gma Charlene - M, Mari- S.

Tonight we visited Grandpa Dean, maybe for the last time...who knows.  Last week his Bishop and Stake President came over to give him his final temple recommend interview.  They also gave him a blessing releasing him from this life.  Hospice thinks he only as a few more weeks.  Only Heavenly Father knows.  He was alert and visiting with us.  He tires really quickly and thinks and talks slower.  He was sweet and gave each of the kids a fishing pole.  He wanted to give one to you too, but we told him you could get it when you got home.  Grandma Charlene has been so brave and faithful.  I'm really proud of her for the way she is handling all of this.  I have never seen her show so much courage as she is now.  I'm proud of her!  This week I will try to take "Greatest Showman" over to her house and watch it with her to try to get her mind off of things.  She hasn't seen it yet.  She's in for a treat!

Ryan and Melissa's wedding was awesome!  They kept their reception to the "picnic" theme since that was their first date (bread/cheese, fruit, and a tower of chocolate chip cookies instead of a wedding cake)  Most of the reception was a dance party.  They brought Kade's life-size cutout.  John caught Lauren Ormsby dancing with Kade's Cutout then kissing it INTENSELY!  So funny and sad...and funny!  Levers and Gma and Gpa are flying out to Virginia for Melissa's reception this week.  We will be watching the parade and swimming at the Lever's this Wednesday.  Happy Independence Day!

We went to a Celebration Committee party.  They showed us the Celebration.  They said that it would be posted on lds.org by the end of the month!  I don't think any of us can be seen, but that doesn't matter.  That was an incredible experience!  It's more about how we all felt!

I love your thoughts about creating opportunities for success.  Faith is work! Please tell Delza that we are happy for her...the Temple is the most wonderful, peaceful place!  I'm excited for your opportunity to teach English!  You will do great! I'm so thankful you have discovered the joy in the scriptures.  I love reading them every day!  I love how they help me hear the voice of the Lord speaking directly to me.  I love His voice!

To answer your question about Mormon 8:23,  I've always understood it as the Abrahamic Covenant, that they would receive the gospel.

Enjoy your week!  I'm sending you a hug....
Love you!!!
Mom

M,

It must be crazy in Brazil during the world cup.  It has been fun to watch.  I saw a security video from some roof top in Sau Paulo giving a great view of the skyline.  It was recording what happened during the first goal for Brazil.  The skyline did not change but it got very noisy very quickly.  People started to scream, people laid on the horns of their cars, fireworks could be heard.  It must be crazy.  We get about 4 games a day.  We will have fewer games to watch now that some team are being eliminated.  What a time to be in Brazil.  I assume Mom sent you the sizes for everyone.  We all want shirts.  If Brazil losses tomorrow the jerseys might be a little cheaper.  I guess you will know if they won after you get started with your P-Day.

We had a lot going on this week.  The Incredibles 2 was great and I'm sure we will have it purchased by the time you get home.  Mom helped me with my Primary class today.  We only had 3 girls.  Raylee Cook and Lilli Moncur were talking about the movie and sharing their favorite parts.  Ella Koon had not seen the movie but was talking like she had.  She was getting a little frustrated and got up on her chair.  She stood as high as she could reach and yelled as loud as she could, "Honey, were is my super suit!!!"  I lost it.  It took me at least 2 minutes to recover.  We had two viewing this week.  We went to Wendi Bawden's veiwing.  It was good to try and show support.  We also had Grandma Mackay finally passed.  she was in her late 90s.  She is the Grandma of Emily Emery and Doug Mackay.  I thought she was my blood grandma until about the 4th grade.  When I found out it took me along time to recover.  We had a lot of the 20th Ward at the viewing and had a good visit.  Mom was able to go to the Bawden funeral and said it was great and well attended.  We also has a JRT Ready gathering.  It supposed to be the adults and most of the kids on stage.  Most of the guys did not show so it was a lot of girls and adults.  Eve came and we were hoping she would get o meet some of these guys.  It did not work out.  Mom got a chance to talk with her friends on the committee and we watched the JRT celebration.  We will have link to the celebration soon.  We watched the celebration in a park that was dedicated to the Holt family farm.  We had a few old buildings still standing we were able to tour and had a great view of the temple.  The Holt family is the one that gave the land to the Church for the temple.  Saturday was a day of family fund that left us all exhausted.  We went to the Salt Lake temple for Ryan's wedding.  At the Salt Lake temple you go to a room and leave your shoes and then head to a waiting room for the sealings.  The gals get little socks for their feet.  We could hear the waiting room from where we left the shoes which is unusual.  It is the temple so we are expected to still try and be reverent.  The waiting room was very crowded.  they announced a sealing that was going to happen soon and all the people who came to support that couple would leave for the sealing room.  Once they made the first announcement most of the people left and it got real quiet.  Soon all of Ryan's supporters showed and we began to visit.  We had a really tall young guy who was working at the temple who would wonder around and try to get people to be quiet.  He would whisper so quietly we could not hear what he was saying.  We knew what he was trying to say.  Whenever he would come by Shirlene would blame me as I am the loudest Barlow.  This guy came by your Grandpa Barlow and his response was "what?!?"  This guy tried again and Grandpa said "What?!?".  He tried again and Grandpa said "I can't hear you."  He gave up and moved to someone else.  The sealing was awesome and Melissa will be great for Ryan.  Once we were out of temple we had to wait for a photographer that found every possible combination for pictures that could be considered.  We waited 45 min for our turn for pictures.  We had to hurry as we had a lunch at Noah's we had to prep for.  We had Cafe Rio cater as Noah's.  We at quickly and went home for a nap as we had our annual family Hale Centre day that late afternoon.  The shows was Newsies and it was just as good if not better than the Broadway tour we saw.  After that no one was hungry thanks to Cafe Rio and we went to Leatherby's and got some ice cream.  We were a little late to the reception.  When we got there we were greeted by a dance party.  Your Mom was a little upset that we missed any of that.  We missed the most epic part of the night.  According to your uncle John Lauren Ormsby was dancing with a cut out of Cade at the wedding.  Apparently she has had a crush on Cade for quite a while.  She was really grooving with him and everyone was egging her on.  Once the music stopped she dipped the cutout and everyone applauded.  She then proceeded to make out with the cutout.  Full on movie star tongue and slobber make out.  Carrie was embarrassed enough that they left early.  They had to give the cutout a little wash.  I spent most of the dance part dance fighting with Max, Ava and Rocky.  Once we got home I spent some time getting my lesson ready for Primary.  We were all very tired.  Now we are attempting to get ready for the next week with the 4th.  I think your Mom wants to go to 2-3 parades.  We plan on the parade the morning of the 4th and then pool at the Lever's.  They are leaving for Virginia on the 5th to have a reception for Melissa.  we are trying to make them do a little as possible so we will be smoking something and try to get out of there as fast as we can.

Mom said she answered your doctrinal question.  Let us know if we need to dig a little deeper.  I'm attempting to get another fishing day organized.  the brothers who could not make it to the other one are hinting about wanting to hire Brad to do it again.  How are your letters between you and what's his name? I hope you are figuring that out.

Love ya kid.  Keep working hard.  Try to be in the right place doing the right things.

Love,

Dad
