6/11/18 - Is that dog dead or sleeping?

Olá from my little corner of São Paulo!

We had a multi-zona this week which was a blast. All the missionaries in my mission are so encouraging and fun. Every time we take the ônibus across Soracaba I feel like Im on a ride at Disneyland due to the crazy rate of accelleration and sudden stops due to crazy pedestrians. They cram so many people on these busses theres hardly room to breathe! Its nuts but super fun!

I think the strike is over? Things are pretty normal around here again!

We drew O Plano de Salvaçao in the plaza of Novo Soracaba this week to try and find new investigators. We talked to a lot of people, but only one became a contact. It was super fun though! I felt like I was participating in RHS's Chalk the Walk again!

There are 3 questions I find myself constantly asking myself and I think they're funny so I thought I'd share:

1) Is that dog dead or sleeping?

2) Was that a firework or a gun shot?

3) I'm in the middle of crossing the street. Is that car going to stop for me or not?

8 times out of 10 the dog is sleeping, it's a firework, and the car stops. The other 2 times make for an interesting story.

The gosepel principles teacher in our ward got sick last minute so we ended up teaching class yesterday. Yet another miracle and proof that Dom de Linguas is real and when I need words, words are given. 

We always invite our investigators to be baptized on the first lesson. Right now we have a handful of people with dates, we pray they continue to progress! I know God knows where His elect are. He could lead us straight to them if he wanted, but he wants us to grow and learn so we will continue to work the best we can trusting that he will put those people in our path eventually. 

I love hearing your thoughts on the recent chruch broadcasts! Isn't it cool that the gathering of Israel is happening right now? 1 Néfi 22 is happening RIGHT NOW!

It gets me so pumped. Wether youre serving a mission or not we all need to help gather Israel! Take President Nelson's challenge! Gather everyone! What an exciting time to be helping with this great work!
