10/1/18 - ARE YOU READDDDDYYYY?!

Folks General Conference is coming up and I could not be more pumped! In preperation I want to invite you to read two talks from the last conference. Revelation for the Chruch, Revelation for our Lives by President Nelson and It's All About the People by Bishop Gérald Causs. I'll link them below.

During conference we have the opportunity to revieve personal revelation straight from our Father in Heaven through the words of our leaders and apply it in a way that helps our personal lives and families. I want to invite you this week to think about a specific question you want answered during conference, then pray about it. The next step is to watch conference, take notes and look for your answer. We gotta do our part. This is why it's so important to watch ALL sessions of conference. What it your answer, the thing Father in Heaven wanted YOU to know, was in the session you missed? I know President Nelson is the prophet of God on the Earth today. His counsel is really the counsel of God so it's critical to listen and then apply the teachings!

This week was pretty solid. Lots of hiking up and down hills in the pouring rain and beating sun. That, and I got peed on by a parrot. Other than that it was pretty normal week. :)

It's really hard to make "novos" (new investigators) in this area because all of our people with baptismal dates live so far away. It's hard to follow up on their commitments and still have time to find new people. Sunday morning we prayed for help making novos and BOOM! God answered our prayer and this amazing couple showed up to sacerment meeting out of the blue. Lucas and Lucia! (Don't ask me why the couples I teach have matiching names... Fabio and Francisca, Lucas and Lucia... God has a sense of humor for sure) Lucas has done a lot of research about the church and after the first meeting said "This is when we seperate into different classes right?" Lucia cried all through sacerment meeting and gospel principles. They are SO elect and we are more than pumped to start teaching them this week and prep them for baptism. Milages peeps!

Watch conference, hug your mom and say a thank you prayer for all the little miracles in your life.
