5/2/18 - Last P Day in the CTM!
We went procyliting again on saturday and this time Sis Bybee and I went
with the attitude that the number doesn't matter we were just praying
for opportunities to talk to people. Our prayers were answered in a way
that we didn't expect! Not only did we talk to many people, 3 people
approached us and wanted to know more. In our short one hour time block
we found 8 contacts. Yet another miracle!
Playing Violin is so fun! We had 2 Elders that just arrived and
they brought their violins. I'm learning a lot and the Lord is
continuing to magnify my small offering.
I report to the field on Tuesday Morning! Crazy! My mission is only
a 20-30 minute drive from the CTM. I'm very excited but also nervous
because my Portuguese is functional, but minimal. Good thing the Lord is
in charge!
Sister Bybee and I are having a hard time accepting that our time as companions is coming to an end. I adore her.
I'm so excited to Skype home my first Sunday in the field!
I need to start keeping a tally of how many times people tell me I
look like a Barbie or Polly Pocket. It's more than I can count on my
fingers and my toes.
Looking back in my journal I am not the same person I was
spiritually 6 weeks ago when I arrived. I've learned to rely on the Lord
more than I ever have before. I've learned that exact obedience
combined with patience, humility, and a whole lot of prayer will bring
miracles big and small to every part of your life. I'm so thankful for
how my relationship with my Savior has grown and how my faith has been
made stronger though Him.
Have an amazing week! EU AMO VOCÊ!
Sister Emma Barlow
