4/25/18 - I guess I'm the CTM's Violinist Now?

When we arrived at the CTM they asked us to fill out a paper saying what instruments we could play. I didnt say violin because I havent played since 8th grade but the spirit was getting after me so I wold our director I could play and now I'm the CTM's violinist. I was so nervous but I said a lot of prayers and the Lord has really magnified my efforts. I'm now playing for all devotionals and choir practices. Its so fun! Im also playing with a cell, a flute, the piano and 304 other missionaries singing. Its like a great big jam session! Lesson learned, give of your talents freely even if youre nervous and the Lord will make up for the rest.

There is a Book of Mormon that has been at the CTM for over 2 years and has been passed from companionship of sisters to companionship. It was passed to Sis Bybee and I! Its been so fun top read all the annotations in all sorts of languages.

I bought a Nemar Jersey and wore it during one of our volleyball games and now all the Brasillerios call me Sister Nemar. They say I'm a real Brasiliera now because I can do the snap, wear the jersy, and I'm getting really good at volleyball.

Irmao Siquiera brought us this fruit called Cauqi. It looks like a beefsteak tomato and tastes like a really sweet plumb. I'm pretty sure any fuit refered to in the scriptures must have been cauqi.

People keep telling Sis Bybee and I that we act more like blood sister than companions. I love her!

We got ne Brasilera roommates. Theyre so great! They labeled everything in our dorm with portuguese post it notes to help us learn quicker.

We had bosss people come from SLC this week to inspect everything. It was fun to visit with them.

THE LANGUAGE IS STARTING TO MAKE SESE!

Thank you all for your sweet words of encouragement last week. I'm sorry I didnt have time to respond to you all but please know how much it means to me!

I love you all! Have a great week!

Sister Barlow
